About each section:

  1. Under 1100 is the strongest section for players who are rated under 1100. Any player who is low rated or unrated (but does have a USCF membership) may play in this section. Keep in mind it will be the strongest section. Usually players with at least three years of playing experience should play in this section. – Sign up for or renew a USCF Membership here.
  2. Under 700 is for players rated under 700. This is great for players who are rated below 700. Any player who is unrated (but does have a USCF membership) may play in this section.  – Sign up for or renew a USCF Membership here.
  3. Unrated Beginner is our section for players who are playing in their first ever chess tournament. Any player who is not rated may play in this section. It is recommended for players who are still very new to chess and to tournaments. This will be a great section for players looking to gain experience.
