Get involved with Learners Chess

One of the most meaningful and fun ways you can get involved in your community is to volunteer teaching and coordinating opportunities for children to play and learn chess. Check out all of the ways you can sign up to get involved to help kids learn and play this great game!

Chess in Education initiatives have been successfully implemented state-wide in Alabama and New Hampshire, both with great results for students and schools. We're pushing for New Mexico to be next!

Any adult volunteer in our school chess clubs will need to pass a background check. The background checks will need to be through the district or directly through the charter school in which you will be volunteering. They usually cost $44 and involve going to get finger printed. They must be taken every two years. If you would like to get that process started with a specific school in mind, please contact us for information on obtaining your background check.
